Yes or No Tarot: Pick a Card for Your Answer
Think of a question that can be answered with yes or no, take a breath and pick one of the seven cards. The card gives you a yes, a no or a maybe, with a short explanation of what it means.
Think of a question that can be answered with yes or no, then pick one of the cards.
How yes or no tarot works
Each of the 22 major arcana cards has a general leaning. The Sun and The Star lean toward yes, The Tower and Death lean toward no, and cards such as The Moon or The Hermit mean the answer is not clear yet. A reversed card turns the answer around, so a yes becomes a no.
Tips for a good question
Ask about one thing and keep it simple, for example: should I send this message today? Avoid questions with several parts, and avoid asking the same question again and again, because a repeated draw only blurs the answer.
Other ways to ask
If you want a quicker answer, use the Magic 8 Ball or the Yes or No wheel. For a longer reading with three cards, try the rune reading.
FAQ
Is yes or no tarot accurate?
Tarot is a tool for reflection and not a way to see the future. Use the answer to notice how you feel about the choice. If you are disappointed by a no, that tells you something.
Which cards mean yes?
In this reading The Fool, The Magician, The Empress, The Emperor, The Lovers, The Chariot, Strength, Wheel of Fortune, The Star, The Sun, Judgement and The World lean toward yes.
Which cards mean no?
The Hanged Man, Death, The Devil and The Tower lean toward no. Reversed cards turn a yes into a no.
Can I ask again if I do not like the answer?
You can, but the reading works best when you ask once and think about it. Asking again until you get the answer you want makes the exercise meaningless.
