    What is a d20?

A d20 is a twenty-sided die with the numbers 1 to 20. In Dungeons and Dragons it decides whether attacks hit, skill checks succeed and saving throws hold. A natural 20 is usually a critical success and a natural 1 a critical failure.

    Advantage and disadvantage

To roll with advantage set the dice count to 2 and keep the higher number. For disadvantage keep the lower one. The roll history shows both values so you can pick the right one.

    Other dice

The Type selector switches the same roller to d4, d6, d8, d10, d12 or d100 (percentile), the set used in most role-playing games.

    Dice FAQ

What is the chance of rolling a 20 on a d20?

Exactly 5%, which is 1 in 20. The same is true for any single number from 1 to 20.

    Is this d20 roller random?

Yes. The number is drawn with the secure random generator of your browser before the animation starts, so each side has an equal chance and past rolls have no effect.

How do I roll with advantage?

Set the Dice selector to 2 with the d20 type, roll, and take the higher of the two numbers.

    Can I roll d100?

Yes. Pick d100 in the Type selector for a percentile roll from 1 to 100.
